Santa was so nice to me this year : ) I received a FitBit!
I am (was and will be again very soon lol) an active person. Daily workouts on the treadmill, weights…plenty of time spent in the cave/gym downstairs. it will be nice to have a guide to the whole days activities and not just my workouts. I’ve got my first shoe award for exceeding 5000 steps in a day (!) i’m even going to try and track what i eat with it as well.
i had been using “map my walk/run” because it can break down what type of physical activity i am doing. So my first fitbit workout was yesterday – a simple hour on the treadmill. i started the fitbit (and MMW on the phone) when i was done i stopped the fitbit session and all these stats started scolling across the wee, little screen. i was amazed that all these stats came thru like steps, calories burned, distance etc. But it scrolled by so fast (and i’m standing there puffing, sweat rolling down my forehead) i thought i’d have to write em down next lol. The app for it gives me break out numbers to track my workouts, which i found out too.
I think the best time to start tracking with a fitbit or any other fitness trackers or wearables is during the holiday break. If your like me, more eating less working out is what it’s about. it also provides the best baseline to compare to. From doing absolutely nothing to 7300 steps in one day ??!?!? Well done Will : ) well done indeed
