I gotta say, sometimes I’m a little sluggish waking up in the morning, but I’m only human, right? I accidentally ordered an extra large coffee this morning rather than the usual large, so I was absolutely wired this morning, and I’m pretty sure I’m typing this faster than usual, so lets dive in to this overly windy Tuesday:
You may have noticed that we’ve started to slow-roll some holiday music in the Fox FM playlist, as it is the time of the year, and with that coming, I got a chance to talk to Reader about arguably my favourite Christmas album of all time: Christmas with Boney M.
Now, I’ve spent a lot of time driving around our great province, visiting antique and curio shops on the way, and you can always count on one record for sale at every shop, Boney M. Christmas. it is to Christmas albums as Rumors is to pop records. Or Bat out of Hell. Or Frampton comes Alive. Man..the 70’s were a great time for music.
I like to cook. especially in the winter, soups, chili, curry, you name it; so when I was out grocery shopping the other day I noticed a ceramic dutch oven for sale, I nearly passed out. I keep thinking to myself “she will be mine….oh yes, she will be mine.”
One problem though: I told my parents that is the one gift I want for Christmas. We do Christmas in a weird way, my parents forgo any secrecy when it comes to my gift, they just ask me what I want (usually something for the kitchen) and get it for me. Now here is where it gets tough, do I call my parents and ask what they got me for a Christmas gift, or do I go ahead and buy what I want and hope for something else? You would think Christmas gets easier the older you get..
(If you’re wondering what Reader wants for Christmas, its definitely Toffifee. Yep. Definitely. Also let me check it for freshness before you wrap it.)
That brings us to Erica, she was our next entrant to win a chance to ride alongside Colin James and Emma Lee on the CP Holiday Train, you still have a bunch of chances to get your name in the draw, you just have to sing for it! Erica had some backup singers in her kids to help, but that only gets points from softies like Reader and I, I can’t vouch for the rest of the Fox FM crew.
You can listen LIVE right @ http://cfgw.streamon.fm/ or on the free Fox FM app!
Before I go, I gotta say how stoked I am to be in the Canora Winter Lights Festival Parade this Thursday alongside Reader and a bunch of your favourite Fox FM people! If you can make it out to the parade that evening, make sure you say hi, I’ve got a free High Five with your name on it!
