Bit of a different approach to the caffeine this morning, I was live on location at the SaskTel Store on Saturday and needed a little pick me up, ended up grabbing one of those “Winter Edition” Red Bulls. You know, the ones that taste like what I can only describe as a combination of plums and Christmas cheer? those ones. Now I can’t get enough of them! Darn limited time holiday food.
Friday night, I got to go out and experience my first drama production at Sacred Heart High School, a musical version of The Little Mermaid! I was pretty darn excited, I had never seen the Disney movie before, and it was everything and more! Special shout outs to friends of Fox FM Megan and Kassidy, who played Ariel and Sebastian:
By the time Sunday rolled in, I was off to Farrell arena for the hockey game. Now, it’s no secret that I am the PA announcer during the Yorkton Terriers home games, I do sound a little different though, I don’t get a lot of opportunity to use “stadium voice” beside these games. I kind of stepped back last night after this weekend and thought how great it is to be able to see everyone out in the community, and how I can work to support the community that supports us! (okay real sorry for waxing poetic again, something about these blogs that gets me all reflective…that and I also watched Love Actually for the first time this holiday season, and I cried so much)
And finally, its with a heavy heart that I announce that the Cactus my parents bought me as a housewarming gift in April has passed away. Fox FM listeners helped me pick out a name for dear Pickles, and he will be sorely missed, his memory carried on by my other Cactus, Candice.
