I’ve been having a horrible time trying to sleep ever since I got my new cellphone…see, I use my phone as an alarm clock, and for the past 4 years I had used the same noise to wake up to, a gentle ringing noise. It allowed me to keep calm and wake up refreshed, it was familiar and I liked it. I guess I’m just terrible when it comes to change, since I’m pretty sure I’m afraid of my new alarm clock. It’s a shrill, loud, clanging noise straight from the underworld that send a chill down my spine the past two mornings. I know I’m prone to hyperbole, but seriously guys…I’m afraid of my alarm clock. I’m trying to get an mp3 of my old alarm so I can go back to the comfortable sleeps of yesteryear.
Speaking of radical change, I want to briefly talk about Star Wars. Again. You can listen to our spoiler free review on the Morning round up, and I still stick by what I said there, and I guarantee Reader does as well. That being said…there has been a crop of articles coming up now that more and more people have seen the film and it’s got me so puzzled, and I think I’ve had the rose colored glasses pulled right off of my face
See, the new Star Wars is…well…new Star Wars. It’s not the old movies, or the older movies, it’s Star Wars for the new generation, and I’m totally cool with that. It’s just crazy that some very dedicated fans are trying to ruin the experience for a new generation with bad reviews on sites, and general shouting in to the internet void. much as how I’m calling for peace and order in the same void. At the end of the day, I like the new Star Wars, I recommend it to everyone to watch, but I also know that it’s not meant for me any more, and I’m content with that. it’s just a movie.
