Terriers offence explodes in home win over defending champs

The Yorkton Terriers got two goals each from Dylan Ruptash and Tate Schofer as they doubled up the defending champion Battlefords North Stars 8-4 on Thursday night.

Brett Butz, Colton Koran, Harrison Aldridge (1st SJHL goal), and Jye Zawatsky (1st MJHL goal) also scored while Clay Sleeva and Quinton Unreiner chipped in with three assists each.

Blake Sittler made 24 saves on 28 shots in the win.

Jackson Allan, Kobie Anderson, Matthew Biros and Marshall Light replied for the North Stars who got 25 saves from Joey Hawco in the loss.

The two teams will meet once again on Friday night from the Westland Arena, before the North Stars wrap up their road trip on Saturday night in Melville.
