According to a report from the British Medical Journal, ultra processed foods high in carbs and fat including chips, sugary drinks, and ready meals can be addictive.
But we’re not talking about eating some snacks and drinking pop every now and then and calling it an addiction. According to this report, 14% of adults and 12% of kids can experience withdrawal symptoms.
Imagine being snappy at work to your coworkers because you haven’t had your Miss Vickie’s in a few days? I love my chips. I eat maybe one bag on the weekends and that’s it. If I start experiencing withdrawals, then I’ll do something about it.
