Roughriders ink American DL Crawford

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American defensive lineman Tre’ Crawford.

Crawford (6’3-245) joins the Roughriders after spending the previous two seasons (2022-23) with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The 27-year-old suited up for 12 games as a Ti-Cat and earned 18 defensive tackles, one special teams tackles, four sacks and one forced fumble. Crawford signed with the Atlanta Falcons as undrafted free agent in 2019 before joining the Denver Broncos (2019-2020).

Collegiately, the Texas native spent two seasons at the University of Alabama Birmingham (2017-18) playing in 21 games. He tallied 43 tackles, including 13 for a loss, eight sacks and two fumble recoveries. Prior to becoming a Blazer, Crawford attended Tyler Community College (2015-16) where he put up big numbers including 96 tackles, six sacks, one forced fumble and one interception over two seasons.
