Waywayseecappo Wolverine forward Sean Williams had 2 goals while Virden netminder Eric Reid made 27 stops to lead the MJHL to their first win at the Showcase in a 4-2 win for MJ 20U Black over SJHL 20U Gold.
David Cote (Steinbach) and Nolan Chastko (Virden) also scored for Team MJ Black, while Ilia Chmelevski (Estevan) and Kindersley forward Tylin Hilbig each had 1G 1A to lead SJ Gold.
James Venne of the Melfort Mustangs turned aside 38 of 42 shots in the loss.

SJHL 20U WHITE 7, MJHL 20U RED 5
Team SJHL earned their 4th win of the showcase on the 2nd game of the day as SJHL 20U White earned a 7-5 victory over MJHL 20U Red.
SJ White got goal from 7 different scorers as Travis Bryson, Carter Anderson, Alexi Sylvestre, Liam McInnis, Anthony Piccininno, Adam McNutt and Yorkton Terrier forward David Coyle all scored.
Canora product and former Yorkton Terrier Clay Sleeva of the Melfort Mustangs earned Player of the Game chipping in with two assists.
Dalton Andrew (Winkler) and Cody Gudnason (Neepawa) led the MJ 20U Red with 2 goals each, while Winkler’s Trent Penner also scored.
Damon Cunningham of Winkler made 26 saves to earn the win, while The Blizzard’s Tomas Anderson turned 27 in the losing cause.

MJHL U18 WHITE 2, SJHL U18 BLUE 5
Kindersley’s Cam Perlinger netted 1G 1A while Aidan Fischer of the Humboldt Broncos made 32 stops to lead SJHL U18 Blue to a 5-2 victory over MJHL U18 White in the finale of the 2024 SJHL/MJHL Showcase.
Melville Millionaire forward Jadon Iyogun, Finley Radloff (Nipawin), Ben Constantino (Humboldt) and Cade Meiklejohn (Weyburn) also scored for the SJHL U18 Blue, while Connor Paronuzzi (Steinbach) and Owen Witt (Portage) replied for Team MJ White.
Winker’s Liam Ernst made 31 saves in the defeat.
The SJHL finished the event with a 5-1 record against the MJHL.
