I just had the most incredible experience at the Swan Valley Stampeders game against the Winnipeg Freeze on Friday. It was Amara’s Amigos night to support the Campbell family’s campaign for childhood cancer awareness and fundraising. In the end, over $19,000 was raised!
The atmosphere at the arena was electric and filled with excitement. The stands were packed with passionate fans, all coming together for an incredible cause. It was truly heartwarming to see so many people showing their support.
I also was presented the opportunity to step onto center ice to make a speech and present a $250 donation on behalf of Fox FM and our sister station, GX94 during the opening ceremonies. It was a humbling experience to be able to contribute to such a worthy cause and make a small difference in the lives of those affected by childhood cancer.
Events like Amara’s Amigos night are not only about raising funds but also about spreading awareness. Childhood cancer is a battle that no child or family should face alone. By coming together as a community, we can make a significant impact and provide support to those who need it the most.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to the Swan Valley Stampeders for taking part in this incredible event and giving us all an opportunity to contribute. It’s wonderful to see a local sports team using their platform to make a difference in the lives of others. Your efforts are commendable, and it’s great to be a part of a community that rallies behind such important causes.
Lastly, I want to encourage all of you to get involved in any way you can. Whether it’s making a donation, volunteering your time, or simply spreading the word, every action counts. Together, we can make a lasting impact and bring hope to those fighting childhood cancer.
