Yesterday was Mar10 Day! A day to celebrate all things Mario, the iconic video game character that has captured the hearts of millions around the world. It’s pretty obvious how this day started. March 10th is known as Mario day because Mar10 looks very similar to the name, and hence Mario Day was born!
Since its inception, Mar10 Day has grown in popularity and has become a day for fans to come together to share their love for Mario. Whether you grew up playing the classic games on the NES or are a fan of the more recent titles on the Nintendo Switch, Mar10 Day is a time to reminisce about the adventures of the mustachioed plumber and his friends.
You probably know I’m a big Mario fan. I have a tattoo from the game Super Mario World, the first video game I’ve ever owned. But how many Mario games have I owned? Well, I’ve made a list. Side note, these are Mario games that I’ve owned, I’ve played a lot more! Especially back in the day when you could rent games all the time. I might have missed some as these are all from the top of my head. Let’s get started!
Super Nintendo:
- Super Mario World
Nintendo 64:
- Mario Kart 64
- Super Mario 64
- Super Smash Bros.
- Paper Mario
- Mario Tennis
Game Boy/Game Boy Advance
- Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
- Super Mario World
- Super Mario Bros. 3
Nintendo Gamecube
- Luigi’s Mansion (does this count?)
- Super Smash Bros. Melee
- Super Mario Sunshine
- Mario Party 4
- Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door
- Mario Kart: Double Dash
Nintendo Wii
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl
- Mario Kart Wii
Nintendo 3DS

That’s a total of 19 Mario based games! I just recently got a Nintendo Switch, so I think the collection will only grow from here!
