An arrest has been made in connection to a homicide in March in the Sioux Valley Dakota Nation. 

After an investigation, a manslaughter charge was laid on  29-year-old Corrie Hillary Lee Hart of Sioux Valley Dakota Nation and a warrant for her arrest was issu ed.

Hart was arrested with the assistance of the Brandon Police Service yesterday (Fri. May 3rd) and has been remanded into custody as the investigation continues. 

Just after 10:00AM on March 6th, a First Nation Safety Officer responded to a well-being check at a residence in Sioux Valley Dakota Nation.

Upon arrival, they discovered a deceased 64-year-old male from the reserve.
