After a couple days off, the Melfort Mustangs showed a little bit of rust early on down 2-0 but they stormed back to win their third straight at the 2024 Centennial after a 5-3 victory on Tuesday over the Sioux Lookout Bombers.

Ryan Duguay and Danton Cox each scored twice for the Mustangs who clinched a playoff berth with the win.

Melfort netminder James Venne turned aside 19 of 22 shots to earn the win.

The Mustangs who earned a Semi-Final berth will wrap up their pool play on Wednesday taking on the hosts Oakville Blades with puck drop at 5:30PM Sask. time.
