Yorkton RCMP partner with Shelwin House to provide new domestic violence resource card

Collaboration between Yorkton RCMP and Shelwin House has led to the development of a new domestic violence resource card for women experiencing intimate partner and/or family violence in the Yorkton area.

The cards, which will be carried by Yorkton RCMP officers and available at the front counter of the Yorkton RCMP Detachment, contain contact information for the two local emergency women’s shelters as well as easily accessible online resources.

To connect to domestic violence support in your community, call 211, text 211 or visit their website abuse.sk.211.ca. The service is free, confidential, and available 24/7 365 days a year in over 175 languages, including 17 Indigenous languages.

All non-emergency incidents can be reported to any local RCMP detachment by calling 310-RCMP (7267).
