Deputies: Florida Woman Called 911 on Herself During Attempted Carjacking to ‘Make it Legal’

A Florida woman, Christy Turman, 37, was arrested after calling 911 on herself while attempting to steal a car from a dealership, claiming she wanted to do it “legally.” Turman informed the Lee County Sheriff’s Office during the call, saying, “Because I’m trying to steal a car that’s not legally mine.” Deputies arrived shortly after and found her exiting a stolen Toyota Corolla. Turman explained she was being trained in a game of Black Ops to steal the car but wanted to report it to make the carjacking legal. She was subsequently arrested and charged with trespassing.
