The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League has announced its Player of the Week, and an SJHL veteran has claimed the top honor.
Dawson Karol, the 20-year-old forward from the Kindersley Klippers, has earned the MVP of the Week title after compiling six goal this past week including a four-goal game.
Karol from Reigna compiled seven points in just three games, keeping the Klippers at the top of the Nutrien division standings.
Adding to the triumphs, Shayne Tibbles of the Klippers secured the SJHL Forward of the Week award.
Meanwhile, after a stellar 3-1 road trip, the Yorkton Terriers celebrate two standout performers.
Local talent Vinay Junek claims the Rookie of the Week title, continuing his impressive five-game goal streak that started on October 19, with four goals this week.
Teammate and 19-year-old Saskatoon native Dustin Renas was named the Saskatchewan-born Player of the Week.
Renas dazzled with seven points across four games, scoring in 13 of the Terriers’ 15 games this season.
A Weyburn Red Wings duo round out the weekly winners with Angelo Zol earning Goalie of the Week and Max Chakrabarti being named Defenseman of the Week
