Swan River RCMP lay charges in connection with a robbery on the Sapotaweyak Cree Nation

Two Sapotaweyak Cree Nation men remain in custody after a robbery over the weekend. 

24-year-old Chandler Cook, and 27-year-old Travis Cook face several charges including careless use of a firearm, robbery with a firearm, and numerous other firearm-related offenses.

The other occupant a 40-year-old female, from Brandon, was later released from custody for a future court appearance in Swan River.

On Saturday (Nov. 2nd), Swan River RCMP was advised that a    24-year-old male had assaulted two male victims, threatened to harm them, and forced them to empty their pockets and turn over their cell phones all while having the firearm pointed at them.

Later that day, RCMP spotted the vehicle the suspect was picked up in Mafeking which led to the arrest of the three suspects
