Hey, everybody! Reader here.
For a few weeks now, we’ve been talking about the first-ever Legacy Co-op “Wonders of Winter, “presented by the Yorkton Lions Club out at the Yorkton Campground, just off York Road, as you come into the city on Highway 16.

It’s the first year for the event, and we’ve been giving away passes so our listeners could go check it out, and see the brilliant light displays for themselves.
Well, last night, Grayson and I, along with some of our co-workers got to experience it firsthand, and help spread some Christmas cheer.

It may have been a little chilly (of course on one of the coldest days so far this winter, I go for a shave and a haircut), but we had a ton of fun greeting everyone who came to check out the display, and we handed out some “vintage” Christmas tree ornaments, as well!
Once you get inside and see all the cool displays, you can’t help but feel the spirit of the season. “WOW,” indeed!

Santa and his reindeer made an appearance, and I found some cool Penguins, that are completely unrelated to Pittsburgh (go Flyers!)

And, in a very fitting display, considering where we live, it would be wrong to not have any Ukrainian dancers!

And, in a cool photo, that I have no idea how I made it happen, I caught a cool image of the Nativity, that inadvertently had a funky effect!

It was a cold night, but a lot of fun, and I stayed warm by dancing around to the Christmas music we were pumping out from the Cruzmobile! That includes this little number, one of my favourite holiday classics by the Rocket Man…
And speaking of keeping warm, I’d like to give an extra-special shout-out to two lovely folks, Ron and Margaret, who spread some Christmas cheer, by stopping by with some hot chocolate for us! I hope Santa leaves a little something extra in your stockings this year for your kindness!

If you haven’t already, make sure you head out and check out the “Wonders of Winter.” It’s open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. every day through January 1st.
Fill up your thermos with your favourite hot beverage, pile your family and friends into the vehicle, and come get into the Christmas spirit!
You ever notice how Christmas lights instantly make everything feel more relaxed? It’s not just their gentle twinkle. These little lights bring warmth, spark memories, and lift our spirits with their soft, inviting glow.
My favourite is when the lights get covered by a layer of snow, and you can still see the multi-coloured glow shining brightly through the snow!
Displays like the “Wonders of Winter” are a reminder that even though it feels like there are a million thngs going on tis time of year, it’s alright to slow down and take a few moments to enjoy the festive season. I hope you all get to do so, too!
