As soon as you step foot onto Jamaican soil, you feel the vibe. The energy is unmatched. Nothing can compare to experiencing it for yourself. Come dive into this Jamaican cultural evening event, as we recreate the Jamaican atmosphere here in Yorkton for you. Request your favorite Jamaican song, try singing Karaoke. Listen to live performances, and participate in the mini-interviews about Jamaica. Oh the food!! Jamaican food is known worldwide as some of the best cuisines around. As a result, we often partnered with various organizations including East Central Saskatchewan Newcomers Welcome Centre and YBID, by participating in cultural events to keep the Jamaican culture alive in this region. Our aim is to encourage newcomers to remain in the area by creating a sense of community through these events, and exposing others to the culture to better embrace and understand diversity.
